In fact, that’s so important it’s our mission statement. The Vail Salvation Army’s overall goal is to stabilize living conditions by providing food, shelter and housing, utility assistance and basic needs for families and individuals who are temporarily unable to provide for themselves. Bright Future Foundation |

The Bright Future Foundation works with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The programs they offer are Advocates Against Assault Crisis Hot Line, Freedom Ranch: Safe House in Eagle County, Transitional Housing, Buddy Mentors, After School Programs, Light of Hope Candle Project. In these tough financial times this is when there is an exceptional need for the services offered by the Bright Future Foundation. They are accepting Donations of Money, Time as a volunteer, any duffel bags or suitcases or grocery store gift cards. Most families come to them with nothing and even a little bit will help. |

Helping to Build Affordable Housing |

VVBW has partnered with Habitat for many years to help build affordable homes for local working families. VOLUNTEERS are currently needed to help with projects for Spring and Summer, 2006. Construction begins on homes in Eagle on May 7th and in Leadville on May 21st. Experience is not necessary to contribute - just a willingness to learn & to get a little dirty!
